What is Anger Management?
Anger management is a support method and kind of counselling with a specific focus and goal on your anger. The ultimate goal is to understand the causes and triggers of the angry outbursts and to make sure that the client feels empowered to learn to control the anger and express it in a way that is not damaging to the client or people in the client's vicinity.
Anger management issues is a secondary symptom, which means that primary causes will be assessed. The majority of clients self-refer for anger management because of issues in couples, for instance frequent arguments which can involve emotional abuse as well as physical force. It goes without saying that clients' communication styles are assessed in-depth, they are provided with anger management techniques and easy and fun to do assignments to reinforce the learnt material. The sessions are delivered in a friendly, non-judgemental fashion and the therapist draws on previous clinical and academic experiences (Please see relevant qualifications/training by clicking this link).
