DEPRESSION MANAGEMENT USING CBT

DEPRESSION MANAGEMENT USING CBT

Depression is a negative mood change, longer lasting and it blocks our full potential and somehow it does not want to go away. People commonly complain of having no hope, feeling hopeless and helpless, they report eating changes and a loss or weight gain, a loss of pleasure in recreational activities, feelings of sadness and loneliness, feeling suicidal or using coping strategies that make the situation worse.

Every client has a different unique story that caused and continues to maintain their depression and some clients' stories are similar. Some depressions are short-lived and some are chronic. Some clients who come to see us, have tried anti-depressants that have not been working or tried home remedies that failed to work.

At Citips robust in-depth approach is being used during assessment to find the exact cause of your depression and we then collaboratively design the right strategy to resolve your issue which should gradually lead to an improvement quality of life and restoration of a positive mood.

Every client takes a different length of time to get better and the recovery will depend on the commitment to new changes you will be prepared to make in your life, and also on your capacity to share with the therapist the real issues.

The outcomes of the sessions will be significantly undermined if you take in secret alcohol or cocaine. We might recommend pharmacological support for clients' with substance misuse to prevent interference with the sessions.

Depressions are easy to treat and much easier than burnout, and so if you are feeling depressed and would like to the improve quality of your life do not hesitate to contact if you want to schedule an appointment.
